CHARITY FASHION SHOW HOPES TO BREAK £300,000 MARK

An annual charity fashion show, which has been taking place for almost a quarter of a century, hopes that this will be the year it breaks the £300,000 fundraising mark for Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Hot on the heels of London Fashion Week the team at Robinsons of Bawtry, near Doncaster are aiming to make this year’s event, which will take place on Sunday 4th October, bigger and better than ever before with a mix of fashion, food and a glamourous extravagance of live entertainment.

“Anticipation is building as we look forward to another fantastic show, stunningly choreographed,  with iconic designer fashion labels and a really great crowd of people who are happy to dig deep and support this fantastic charity,” said Russell Jones Director Robinsons of Bawtry. “A sell out crowd will enjoy the evening at our wonderful venue, China Rose restaurant, just a few steps away from our premises, whose opulent surroundings and superb hospitability make it the perfect setting for the event.”

The 23rd show is particularly poignant as Yorkshire Cancer Research celebrates 90 years. In honour of this Yorkshire Cancer Research are committing £5 million to ensuring people in Yorkshire are diagnosed faster and receive ground breaking treatments.

“We are delighted to welcome Yorkshire Cancer Research CEO Charles Rowett once again to our show in what is a very special year for us all,” commented Russell. “Thanks also go to our very generous sponsors Alexander Calder Financial, MDL Energy Northern and Powell Engineering who offer their continued support.”

The fashion show will showcase labels including Armani, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Mulberry, Moschino, Michael Kors, Versace, Jacob Cohen, Jeffery West, Eton and new for this season Belstaff.

A Champagne draw, auction and raffle will add to the fun with a Mulberry bag being up for grabs in the annual game of ‘Heads and Tails’.

Model dancers are supplied and choreographed by Gunther Smitz Choreography in London and hair styled by Nigel Oxby at Elite, Bawtry.
