We are delighted to be able to open our doors once again. The health and wellbeing of our team and guests is our top priority and we have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that all government guidelines have been met to give you complete peace of mind during your visit. All our staff have been fully trained in COVID-19 safety procedures and will be wearing protective masks. Here are just some of the changes we have made:-
Opening Times, Booking and Seating
We have amended our opening times to Thursday to Sunday 5.30 – 9.30 pm (Last orders 9.15 pm). All tables must be pre booked and no walk- ins allowed. Maximum booking of up to 8 people made up of no more than two households per booking as per the government guidelines. We kindly request a £20 per person non-refundable and non-transferable deposit to secure your booking. Due to the necessary safety measures we have had to implement in the restaurant no children under 10 are allowed. A 2 hour dining slot will be allocated to each table – if your party arrives late please note that no additional time will be given. We kindly ask that if any guest has been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 14 days or are showing any COVID-19 symptoms you do not visit the restaurant.
We request that you only enter China Rose once your whole party has arrived. On entering the restaurant a member of staff will take your temperature and if any member of your party shows any signs of symptoms you will be asked to return home and follow the government isolation guidelines. Guests will be asked to sanitize their hands before being seated. You will be immediately shown to your table where a member of staff will take your drinks and food order. A full table service will be in operation. Unfortunately no drinks are allowed at the bar or bar area. We kindly ask that the only reason guests leave their allocated table is to use the toilet.
Our full food and drinks menu will be available. Disposable menus will be available on each table.
One Way System
We will be operating a one-way system around the restaurant.
To allow for social distancing measures we have had to amend the layout of the restaurant and will be operating at a reduced capacity.
There will be no provision for coats or any personal belongings to be kept in the cloakroom. All items must be kept with each guest.
Our toilets will be regularly sanitized, recorded and displayed. Only two guests will be allowed in at any time.
Smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking shelter and not allowed anywhere near the building. Social distancing must be adhered to at all times.
China Rose operates a smart dress code. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any person wearing shorts, sleeveless T-shirts, track suits – either jackets or bottoms, football shirts, trainers or ripped jeans. Hats must be removed in the dining area.
We are happy to accept payment by either cash or card. Our card machine will be sanitised after each transaction.
Track and Trace
For NHS Track and Trace purposes we will record the name and contact of the lead group member and the information will be kept for 21 days and then destroyed.
From the 13th August our Takeaway Service will be available from Thursday to Sunday 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm, collection only. Please note that there will be a new designated collection area away from the main entrance.
Unfortunately we are unable to host any live music evenings for the foreseeable future so have made the decision to postpone all our Showtime evenings to 2021.
