CHINA ROSE SUPPORTS HEALTHY EATING PLANS WITH LAUNCH OF NEW DISHES ENDORSED BY WEIGHT WATCHERS

The New Year sees many determined to lose a few extra pounds, but dining out can be one of the biggest challenges and often thwarts the best of intentions.

But one Bawtry restaurant, the renowned China Rose, has recognised the dilemma this can pose to dieters and diners and has launched a range of dishes – some new and some which are already on the menu –  particularly aimed at those following the popular ‘Weight Watchers’ plan.

“It was important to us to promote the general health benefits of Cantonese food and to take this one step further by producing dishes recognised by the Weight Watchers ‘ProPoint scheme,” commented Carly Hui, Restaurant Manager, China Rose Bawtry. “We were delighted to work with representatives in the area to create some amazing dishes, full of flavour and that meet the ‘ProPoint’ values associated with the programme.”

Dishes include flavours typically associated with Cantonese food and are freshly prepared using the finest ingredients by the China Rose team. Most are also categorised as “Filling and Healthy’ foods on the Weight Watchers plan. The new menu includes Minced Vegetables with Lettuce, Chicken with Ginger & Spring Onions and Beansprouts & Broccoli.

Debbie Waby, Weight Watchers leader who co-ordinates several meetings in the local area commented after her recent visit to China Rose; “Such an amazing night with great food and great company.  The food was gorgeous and I am so looking forward to sharing the new healthier options menu – ProPointed by Weight Watchers – with my members.  To have a night out and still stay in control when following the Weight Watchers plan is so inspiring and I commend China Rose staff for such an innovative and supportive approach.”

The new menu will be launched this week and will be available, on a trial basis until the end of February. China Rose is happy to cater for other dietary requirements with prior notice.

Weight Watchers celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2015.
